where we come from
A Global Shapers Prague project
Global Shapers is a worldwide community of people under thirty who run local projects for their cities. There are hundreds of hubs around the world, and Prague has one of them.
Ecotoury is one of the Prague hub's projects. We are volunteers, the site is free, and nothing on the map is paid for. If a place is on it, it is because one of us went there and liked it.
Ecotoury is a hand-picked map of Prague's eco-friendly places: cafés that skip the plastic, parks and gardens worth the detour, community farms a tram ride from the centre, zero-waste shops, plant-based food, farmers' markets, wild swimming spots and second-hand finds.
It is not a directory. We do not list everything, we list what we would send a friend to. Every place has a link to its own website and a one-tap jump to Google Maps for the route.
How a place gets on the map
We go thereSomeone from the team visits. No exceptions, no lists copied from elsewhere.
It does a real thingRefills, local produce, no single-use plastic, plants over meat, or simply a lot of green.
We would go backNice matters. A café can be sustainable and still be somewhere you would not sit for an hour.
We keep it honestOpening hours and prices get checked. If a place changes, it comes off.
